DMS, is a unit of Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI), & Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management (DSATM) founded in 2011 by Late Sri Dayananda Sagar, an illustrious and distinguished social reformer. It holds the accreditation of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliation of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). Situated in Bangalore, Karnataka, the institution has a first-rate campus spread across 10 acres.

DMS has been recognized for its excellence in management education. For last several years, it has been rated amongst some of the best PG Programs offered in the country.

We, in our department bring together people, cultures and ideas from around the world to change lives and transform organisations. Our MBA Program is designed to empower the next generation of well-rounded, agile-thinking and innovative individuals who are ready to make a positive impact in today's society. MBA course is more than a programme, it is a journey for student and faculty to recognise with who you are, and leads to what you want to achieve.

The department’s endeavour has always been to prepare students to become management leaders in future as academic curriculum is combined with rigorous research inputs by our outstanding faculty members and Industry Experts with vast and enriching experiences shared. Businesses nowadays are facing more and more competition in the data driven environment. Our curriculum in addition to Finance, Marketing and HRM, has good emphasis on Data Analytics, Financial Analytics, Marketing Analytics offering a  PG program with industry relevant curriculum under Visweshwariah Technological University, Belgaum.

Our students get unique opportunity to learn in technological and multidisciplinary environment. The department currently runs a full time MBA programme, and a rigorous PhD programme offering research opportunities in various areas of management. DMS boasts of many Alumni who have started their own start-ups in the country aligning with the Start-up India Initiative by the Government of India. DMS has generated tremendous momentum, through its various initiative for advancement of sustainable development. As part of this initiative, students work with NGOs to address various socio-economic and environmental challenges in the country. Our program emphasises on applying knowledge of management theories and practices to solve business problems, foster analytical and practical knowledge for data-based decision making, develop action plan to implement change in global, economic, legal and ethical aspects while building ability to lead themselves and others in the achievement of organizational goals. Since its inception in 2011, the contributions of DMS has been through teaching, research, Entrepreneurship, Consultancy and other Co-Curricular activities. We consider our alumni to be our assets and ambassadors and we are constantly exploring new ways of engaging with alumni across the world.

DMS  has always ensured that every student must hone various skills and abilities which comprise of Public Speaking, Team Building, Interpersonal Skills, Presentations Skills, Time Management, Business Etiquettes and so on, that eventually increase students career prospects. The Department has been striving for excellence in academics, research, co-curricular, & cultural, wellness initiatives and activities besides imparting moral and human values to the students with greatest emphasis on students Mental and Physical well-being and their holistic development.
